Creative Writing I is designed for students who wish to express themselves creatively. Students read, study, and write short stories, poems, essays, and one-act plays which are then entered in local, state, and national writing contests. Students are also expected to keep a writing portfolio and to complete individual projects.

Advanced Creative Writing is a continuation of Creative Writing I. In addition to submitting comprehensive individual projects and entering local, state, and national contests, students in the Advanced Creative Writing class write, edit, and publish the literary publication.
